The coronavirus epidemic has caused significant delays to international parcels since February 2020. Not to mention the rate at which the virus has spread makes it extremely difficult to assess the situation and consequences that the epidemic has had on the postal services.
As a result, our shipping prices have fluctuated week on week, shipping times have changed drastically, and some countries have even restricted parcels coming from China.
We would appreciate your patience and cooperation massively during this unprecedented crisis as we are all trying our absolute best to deliver your parcel as quickly as possible.
Due to a lack of freight shipments, we recently had to switch to an alternative shipping line which means the tracking information on 17track website may not be as accurate as it should be. For anyone who is waiting for an update on their parcel, please send us an email at info@kawaiies.com with your order number and we will try to get back to you within 2 business days.
Shipping times usually vary between 1 to 6 weeks, but due to shipping delays, we are unsure as to when our parcel will arrive. There is some good news for our UK and EU customers as shipping times are showing signs of recovery.
A brief explanation of each stage of the shipping journey from our warehouses to your door:
Step 1: Processing your order
Length: Est. 1 to 3 business days
Once we receive your order and your payment was processed successfully, we tend to wait a few hours before preparing any orders for shipment. This allows our customers to make any last-minute adjustments to their orders - only if you really need to!
Step 2: Parcel is in transit to the designated country
Length: Est. 1 to 20 business days
Once we finished preparing your parcel, we will hand your parcel over to the logistics team. The logistics team are responsible for shipping your parcel out.
Unfortunately, due to lockdown restrictions, and limited aircraft capacity, millions of parcels have been held up at this stage, waiting to depart some parcels have been prioritised over others based on how valuable the parcel is.
Step 3: Parcel has landed in its designated country
Length: Est. 1 to 20 business days
Once your parcel arrives in your country, it will first have to go through customs to check if the parcel is safe before being handed over to your local courier.
Some delays are unavoidable as customs will carry out random checks on packages to ensure the contents and the value of the goods has been declared accurately, and there’s nothing you can do to avoid this. Backlogs are also common during a pandemic, and all we can do is wait.
Majority of the time our parcels passes through customs succesfully with no delays and will be handed over to your local courier (USPS, Royal Mail, Canada Post, Australia Post, La Poste, etc).
From here, the pace would normally pick up depending on the number of staff still working during this epidemic and many other factors that are out of our control.
We hope this blog helps clarify the shipping information when tracking your parcel. We really appreciate your patience and loyalty towards Kawaiies during this crisis. Stay safe and keep your hands clean.
We provide free tracked shipping to the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and more.
